Case Study #1:
Director of Product Management
A worldwide leader in technology/software solutions to the financial industry.
“Frustrated, the vice president of human resources … went on to explain that they were highly disappointed in the lack of return on their investment with the retained firm … with no results.”
This search had initially been awarded to an internationally known, classic retained search firm. Six months later, the position was still open. Frustrated, the vice president of human resources asked if we could take on the search. We had been placing sales candidates with them for over a decade. She went on to explain that they were highly disappointed in the lack of return on their investment with the retained firm since they had paid a nonrefundable retainer with virtually no results. The few candidates that were presented by the retained firm were underqualified or lacked experiences in the client’s vertical. National Register USA took the search and within two weeks presented three candidates, all who were directly in the space. The final candidate was chosen and hired within 120 days.
Postscript: This executive stayed with the client for 10 years and is considered the architect of their worldwide product management and marketing strategies.
Case Study #2:
Domestic Vice President of Sales
A multinational foreign corporation, providing eLearning solutions to the Fortune 1000.
CEO: “I simply was not impressed by the layers of reports the retained firm wanted me to read.”
Having years of success in sales placement, National Register USA was invited to compete with one other executive search firm for the search assignment. The critical need was an executive with expert experience in social media. NR USA won the search. The CEO said was more impressed with our promises on delivery, and in his words, “I simply was not impressed by the layers of reports the retained firm wanted me to read. Their processes seemed excessive. You seem to understand what I need.” We took the search on June 15 and by August 26, the job was filled. The CEO was ecstatic, stating that he could not have found a better qualified candidate.
Postscript: This VP has been written up multiple times since taking his post as one of the world’s top social media experts.
Case Study #3:
Division Director of Sales
One of America’s largest energy suppliers.
“After four months and a wasted retainer with this prominent search firm, the CEO was dissatisfied with the quality of recruits.”
Once again, the search assignment was awarded to a name-brand international retained search firm. After four months and a wasted retainer with this prominent search firm, the CEO was dissatisfied with the quality of recruits. Not wanting to waste another moment, he reached out to National Register USA. Because of our deep contacts and recruiting experiences with sales leaders across the United States, we identified four outstanding candidates in the first week. Within ninety days, the position was filled.
Postscript: A year later, this director was promoted, and we were engaged again to back fill his position as the first option. We successfully identified and placed this new director as well.
